On June 17th, on a hot and sunny Father’s Day, the Lower Mainland Green Team tackled Policeman’s Helmet at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby.

Highlights:
- 23 volunteers contributed 65 hours!
- Victor, Brian and Amber helped lead and supervise the volunteers
- 11 volunteers out of the 23 had never been to Deer Lake park before
- 16 volunteers had never removed Policeman’s Helmet before
- We ate yummy homemade chocolate chip cookies (thank you Kim!)
- Brian rode his bicycle to the event!
- Many trail users stopped to chat and ask us questions
- We removed 1 cubic metre of Policeman’s Helmet
