What some of the volunteers said:

While this program is only a few years old, there have been a lot of small huge impacts. Continuing is important to sustaining natural habitats.Doug

Enjoyed meeting new people and basking in the thank you’s from the walkers on the trails. I love the feeling of helping nature and enjoy seeing the resultsGlenda

I believe this program has great impact. Everyone walking by would stop and talk to me asking what we were doing and who we were. It was nice to educate the public and to help them make them more aware of invasive plants – Taryn

I feel like we make a difference in the environment by helping native plant species thrive, the people Green Team events bring together is what makes them so enjoyable. It’s quite inspiring to see so many people from different ages and backgrounds gather to help our ecosystem. – Kate

I felt that the volunteers gained an appreciation of what a gift our parks and forests are and some sense of what difference we can make when we work together. It was fun working with others, young and old, Canadian-born and new-comersLois
