UVic Mystic Vale May 16, 2019

The Greater Victoria Green Team organized another big community engagement activity in Mystic Vale where over 40 volunteers came together to remove English Ivy! Thanks to the group from the Jump Foundation and Musgrave School, as well as Royal Road Students, UVic students and local community members for participating!

Highlights

  • 41 volunteers participated and contributed 121 volunteer hours!
  • 36 volunteers had never been to Mystic Vale Woods before
  • 28 volunteers had never remove English Ivy before
  • We removed 7 cubic metres of invasive plants!
  • We cleared an area of habitat approx. 300 square metres
