H.M.S Plumper Park, July 17th 2021
On Saturday, July 17th we were back to H.M.S Plumper Park in North Saanich for a second time this summer to continue removing the invasive English ivy that has taken over! We had such a wonderful group of people out. We not only worked hard, but we shared lots of great conversation and laughter, and many new connections were made.
Our mission is to connect, build and empower diverse communities through hands-on activities that promote health, well-being and environmental stewardship, and we certainly did that on Saturday!
Thank you to our community members Richard, Julian, Louise, Tory, Yul, Suyoun, Pieta, Karen, Alan, Clark, Chloe, Court, and Steve for your hard work and positive energy!
Thank you to the District of North Saanich for recognizing our value and partnering with us over the years, and to Park Supervisor Jim Nelson for coordinating with us!
Thank you to Metchosin Farms and Saanich Native Plants for donating seed packets to reward our amazing volunteers for their contributions! We love introducing our community members to socially and environmentally conscious products, especially from local businesses.
