Melville Park, Sidney, October 16th, 2021

The Greater Victoria Green Team organized a community and environmental activity at Melville Park in Sidney. We planted Douglas-fir, Western Hemlock, Western Red Cedar and Big-leaf Maple trees! This tree planting effort will increase available habitat for multiple species, create more shade, capture carbon, provide more oxygen and beautify the surrounding community. A special thank you to Cliff Halliday the Parks Supervisor who helped organize the activity and to Mike who brought us the trees and helped supervise the activity.
