Max believes that connecting people with nature helps them to understand the value of these spaces and species as an essential part of protecting these areas. His own strong personal connection to nature began in a local urban park then grew working immersed in Algonquin Park which inspired him to take action to protect the special animals and plants that inhabit all of our natural and urban areas. He worked with a wildlife hospital to rescue injured & orphaned wildlife in Nova Scotia and has spent the last few years working in outdoor and environmental education roles introducing youth to conservation across the country in hands-on and meaningful ways. Max was excited to join our team as the Lower Mainland Green Teams Program Manager in 2025 and has been eager to continue building that connection to nature and inspiring action in others throughout the Lower Mainland!
