On May 13th, 2021 the Greater Victoria Green Team joined forces with the Township of Esquimalt and welcomed students from Esquimalt High School and Esquimalt community members to remove invasive English Ivy. Our morning session was comprised of students, while our afternoon session welcomes community members. Volunteers broke up into groups led by park staff to help maintain physical distancing and target different problem areas in the park. We worked diligently, with smiles on our face, the sun on our backs and the promise of cookies in our minds.
THANK YOU
A big thank you to Clark Schawb and his students, community members Izzy, Kris, Carmina, Cassandra and Anu for your hard work and Esquimalt Park Staff for your direction and facilitation!
